My Takeaways from Wowcon Conference 2024
I learned SO much at #wowcon this year, and I wanted to share some of my key takeaways with you all. No gatekeeping here—I'm all about helping everyone win!
Influencers vs. Content Creators: There's a big difference! Influencers focus on monetization, while content creators focus on the content itself. Both have their place, but it's important to know your approach.
Start with the End in Mind: When creating content for brands and marketing, always think about your end goal. If it's not getting measured, it's not getting done.
Post-Campaign Analysis: Look at the data closely to understand what worked and what didn’t. This will shape your future moves and make your content strategy stronger.
Usage Rights: Understand the usage rights for your content! Brands can reuse your work, especially with AI on the rise. Know what you're agreeing to.
Brand Voice vs. Brand Loyalty: Your brand voice might attract people, but it's the brand loyalty that keeps them coming back.
UGC = User-Generated Content: Think of UGC as an “ad” created for your audience. Always consider what solutions this content offers both the brand and the creator.
Digital Footprint: Brands need a digital footprint! This includes social media, websites, and overall online presence.
Tell a Story: Think about how you can tell a story with your content. It's what sets creators and brands apart—empathy and experience make all the difference.
At the end of the day, people don’t want an hour of your time—they want an hour of your experience.
Why am I sharing my personal notes for free from an event I paid for? Because I genuinely want EVERYONE to win. We all have a place at the table, and together, we can reach new heights!
Yes, and more helpful content is on its way!
